Please God, take me now...Reviewed by Schuylercat, 2010-01-31
I bought this for my daughter. She's eight. If I hear this song one
more time there is a good chance I will explode. I find myself
praying for death whenever it starts. By the time she gets to that
whole "I put my hands up they're playing my song the butterflies
fly away AAAAUUUGGGHHH!!!" I start looking for a bus to jump in
front of, but wouldn't you know it, there are no routes on my
street. I have a gun and could just end it all that way but, you
know, the whole mess in the house and all, and my wife is busy with
school and cleaning up would be a bummer for her. Same with pills -
I don't want to go out with a big flurry of barf and convulsions,
although there's a chance I may go that way anyway if this freaking
song starts one more freaking time...
You know, if there was a way to do it and take Billy Ray with me
I'd do it in a heartbeat - serves him right for inflicting this
little monster on us. You got that Billy Ray? It's your fault, man.
All on you. YOU!
WAIT! Drowning! I could do that, I think. Can't hear the music
under the water, either. Hmm...
Oh, my daughter loves the song, BTW. Says it's the coolest ever.
Said I had to give it five stars, so there's that.
I wonder if she'll miss me?

"Party in the USA" hopefully won't become a July 4th staple like
Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA." When it comes to
flag-waving, I'll take the Star Spangled Banner any day. This land
is your land, this land is my land,my goodness this song is bland.
"Party in the USA" is basically about taking a taxi ride and
listening to various pop artists. This song is going to be dated
very soon--in a sense,it's already anachronistic. 40 years from
now, will people still listening to Jay-Z and Britney Spears, like
they do The Beatles Stereo Box Set?
"Party in the USA" also introduces us to Miley Cyrus' odd ways of
singing. When she belts out "a Jay-Z song was oooon,a Jay-Z song
was o-o--on",she sounds like she's being tickled,or something.
"Party in the USA" ought to be musically rejected by all those who
love our beautiful country.
Not Such A PartyReviewed by Michael Kerner, 2010-01-04
When it has came down to Miley Cyrus, she honestly hasn't been as
driven as being so much of a tween act. With her latest single,
Party In The U.S.A., from her Time Of Our Lives EP, isn't really a
interesting song. She honestly has been a bit overdone with her
music. Sadly, I wasn't very thrilled with the song after awhile. It
has recently gotten very tiring after awhile. While Miley may have
grown herself out of her Hannah Montana role, unfortunately after
The Climb, she hasn't fully grown up musically. Hopefully, with her
next full-length record or song that comes out, Miley can prove to
have a much more driven song. This Party In The U.S.A. has gotten
to be a bit overdone for me.
